This project gives young people a taste of working, literally. They bake all Friday and then bring their delicious produce to market on Saturday. Supported by our excellent chef Andre, the cakes and sweet things are made to the highest standard using organic and where possible, locally sourced, ingredients.
The young people have special educational needs and disabilities or are facing other barriers to engagement and this project will give them a much needed experience of work. We also help them with work related skills and support them to develop their careers
The kitchen is at the Bridge, attached to New River baptist Church on Arron St, N1 and is registered with Islington health and safety office.
